Quick Start: Your First Invoice

Let's create your first compliant Spanish invoice in just a few steps:

Step 1: Sign Up and Complete Your Profile

1. Create your account at factumo.com/auth/sign-up
2. Verify your email address - check your inbox for the verification link
3. Log in to access your dashboard

Step 2: Set Up Your Company Information

Before creating invoices, you need to configure your company details. This information will appear on all your invoices.

Navigate to Settings → Company and fill in:

• Company name (or your full legal name if you're a freelancer)
• Tax ID (NIF, CIF, or NIE)
• Complete address (street, number, postal code, city)
• Contact information (email, phone)
• VAT settings (your default VAT rate)
• Invoice numbering (choose your preferred format)

Step 3: Add Your First Client

Navigate to Clients → Add Client and enter:

• Client name (company name or individual)
• Tax ID (NIF/CIF for Spanish clients, VAT number for EU clients)
• Address
• Email (for sending invoices)

You can add more clients anytime as you need them.

Step 4: Create Your First Invoice

Navigate to Invoices → Create Invoice:

1. Select your client from the dropdown
2. Add line items - describe your products or services
   • Description
   • Quantity
   • Unit price
   • VAT rate (21%, 10%, 4%, or exempt)
3. Review the totals - Factumo automatically calculates VAT
4. Choose issue date and payment terms
5. Click "Create Invoice"

That's it! Your first compliant Spanish invoice is ready.

Step 5: Send Your Invoice

Once created, you can:

• Download as PDF - Print or save locally
• Send via email - Directly from Factumo
• Share a link - Give clients access to view/download
• Mark as paid - Track payment status

Understanding Your Dashboard

Your Factumo dashboard provides a quick overview of your business:

Personal Account vs. Team Account

Factumo supports two types of workspaces:

Personal Account - Your individual workspace for managing your own invoices, estimates, and clients. Perfect for freelancers and solo entrepreneurs.

Team Account - Shared workspace where you can collaborate with team members, assign roles, and manage permissions. Ideal for small businesses with multiple people handling invoicing.

You can switch between workspaces using the account selector in the top navigation.

Dashboard Overview

Your dashboard shows:

• Recent invoices - Latest invoices with status (draft, sent, paid, overdue)
• Revenue metrics - Total invoiced, paid, and outstanding amounts
• Quick actions - Create invoice, create estimate, add client
• Upcoming tasks - Overdue invoices, pending estimates
